Who's Covered?
Most full-time students who are members of SUS and who begin their studies in the Fall semester are automatically covered by the SUS Health & Dental Plan, including TASK students.
If you are covered, the cost of the plan will be assessed upon registration for the Fall Semester.
Fall 2020 International Students
Eligible international students are automatically covered by and billed for applicable portions of the student Plan. Note that Plan benefits are only accessible within Canada , while other services remain available abroad. Certain limitations exist. Due to the impact of travel restrictions related to COVID-19, options for international students have been expanded for the 2020-21 academic year so that you can make the best choice for your individual circumstances.

How Much Does It Cost?
The total cost of the Plan is $215.59 for students starting in September.
The policy year is from Sept. 1, 2019 - Aug. 31, 2020.
For the Majority of students, the cost of the Plan is automatically included in your tuition and other fees.
Claim Forms
Use these forms to submit your health and dental claims to the insurance company (Desjardins). Photocopies of blank claim forms may also be used. Please allow one to two weeks for your claim to be processed.

SUS Health & Dental Plan
To help University of the Fraser Valley students pay for the health services they need, SUS has partnered with Studentcare in order to provide students with extended health and dental coverage.The Plan is designed specifically for students to cover many services not covered by the British Columbia Medical Services Plan (BC MSP) and other basic health-care programs.
What's Covered?
Among other benefits, the Plan covers:
-Up to 80% for prescription drugs
-Over $4,000 for health practitioners (psychologists, physiotherapists, chiropractors, etc. ).
-Up to $300 in vision care (eye exams, eyeglasses and contact lenses, laser eye surgery)
-Up to
$750 in dental care (checkups, cleanings, fillings, extractions, endodontics, periodontics, etc.)
-Travel health coverage (up to $5,000,000 per incident, 120 days per trip), trip cancellation and trip interruption in the event of a medical
emergency.
