Amnesty UFV

Aim/Purpose: This organization will serve to facilitate the work of Amnesty Canada and its mission as stated on their website:

"We unconver the truth about human rights and abuses, and mobilize individuals to take action so that human rights abuses are stopped, individuals and communites are protected, and perpetrators of human rights violations are brought to justice"

Chess Club

The UFV Chess club is dedicated to bring together community and promote enjoyable learning through the game of Chess. The UFV Chess Club wants to give UFV chess players a place to practice their skills as well as teach the wonderful game of chess to those wanting to learn.

Expression Dance Club

Our purpose is for people to relieve their stress, improve flexibility, learn the basics of dance, and act as an opportunity to express yourself. This clubs is a great way to boost confidence and improve personal health while meeting new people. Find us on Facebook for more information!

Fraser Valley Recreational Range Club

Mandate: Our purpose is to advocate for the safe and legal use of firearms for all students of UFV. Safety is our first priority and is achieved through accurate education on safe and legal ownership and use of firearms to all members and curious parties. Events will be hosted at local ranges to allow members to hone their marksmanship in the company of experienced individuals and newcomers.

UFV French Club

Mental Health Awareness Club

We strive to diminish the stigma surrounding mental illnesses by providing a friendly environment where discussions regarding these issues are openly available along with ample information and sessions used to education the community.

Model Making Club

We want to create a club to build and paint models such as car replicas and Gundam plastic models once a week. If you have any questions about the club or wish to join it, please contact the executives at ufvmodelmakingclub@gmail.com. Come and join if you need a break for school for a while!

Welcome to UFV;s Outdoors and Hiking Club! We put on events for UFV Students and Alumni to participate in outdoor group activities such as hiking, snowshoeing, yoga, and canoeing. UFV Circle K

UFV Circle K International Club is a self-governing organization and elects its own officers, conducts its own meetings in order to organize service activities. UFV CKI blends community service and leadership training with the opportunity to meet other students in university as well as around the world. This club provides a platform for students of all different social groups and backgrounds to come together and apply their strengths in a positive manner.

UFV Japanese Culture Club

We are a group of students who are interested in Japanese traditional and pop culture, which includes but is not limited to anime, manga, origami (Japanese Paper Art), calligraphy, music, martial art, cuisine, language and people! We are here to create opportunities for all of you to share unique and fascinating Japanese culture with other students. Come join our activities on campus and meet cool people!

UFV Rowing Club

The UFV Rowing Club exists to allow any student the opportunity to learn the sport of rowing and the opportunity to try out for a spot within the Varsity rowing team at the university. The skillset required for rowing challenges students and promotes commitment and teamwork. It provides a great way of getting involved at the university and meeting other students, while being physically active, or competing at a high level of sport against some of the top schools and rowers across the country.

University Christian Ministries UCM

Mandate: UCM is a student-led group that strives to encourage one another to centre our lives in Jesus. We aim to build lasting friendships and to spread Jesus’ love to our campus and community. We emphasize prayer, worship, encouragement, community, and service through our weekly small groups and our larger group gathering on Thursday nights.

Wildlife Protection Club

The purpose of the Wildlife Protection Club is to raise awareness of endangered and at-risk species within British Columbia. The goal is to find creative ways to raise funds for local organizations and conservancies to assist them in conservation.

Sikh Student Alliance

The Sikh Student Alliance (SSA) aims to provide Sikh students and anyone with an interest in Sikhi a platform to meet for community service and spiritual practice. We hope to create a support network for Sikhs that study at UFV to help with any struggles relating to their faith. Our club and its events are open to everyone, not just Sikhs.

UFV-Solidarity for Palestinian Human Rights

UFV-SPHR seeks to educate and inform students about the struggles of Palestinian people trying to acquire and exercise their basic human rights, as well as provide a reminder that at the heart of the Israel-Palestine conflict is indescribable human suffering. Level Up! Is a club designed to bring together video gamers and tabletop players regardless of race, creed, gender or sexual orientation so that we may build a friendly and supportive community surrounding a common interest. Level Up! also aims to give members the opportunity to take their passions to the next level in local, national and international competition within eSports! UFV Women in Engineering, Science, and Technology (UFV WEST):

UFV WEST is an organization focused on the support and promotion of female-identifying individuals in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics). We advocate for equity and inclusion. Everyone is welcome. We would like to recognize and celebrate the contributions that women have made and continue to make in the scientific community, which have often gone unacknowledged. Women are overwhelmingly underrepresented in STEM fields, and lack support and opportunities. We want to bring awareness to the gender barriers that exist in STEM fields, in order to take action to move forward. Students For Life:

Student for Life is a community of pro-life students who aim to educate, inform, and change hearts and minds on the issues of abortion and euthanasia. We facilitate discussion through regular on campus advocacy and member-led discussion groups for anyone who is interested in more information. We also hold regular member meetings to foster community between like-minded individuals and consider new initiatives. Lexwst'í:lem Drumming Circle (LDC):

Lexwst'í:lem (luck-sht-ey-lem) Drumming Circle is calling all indigenous and non-indigenous students to a weekly gathering of drumming and singing. Newcomers and enthusiasts are welcome. A place to celebrate culture and community or just to be loud and proud if that's what you need!

UFV Environmental Club

The UFV Environmental Club works towards greater awareness and participation in sustainability initiatives on and off-campus.
